SEF’s COVID-19 Response

Basic School Supplies

With all the Snohomish School District schools being closed due to the
COVID-19 virus, the District (via the Kid’s Café & school buses)
distributed sack breakfast and lunches to all kids in-need at different
distribution points.

The kids also needed basic school supplies at home. SEF funded $3,000 to
make this happen.

With the funds that were provided, the district provided school supplies
to about 160 families that attend Central/Emerson Elementary, 25
families that attend Cathcart Elementary, 30 families that attend
Seattle Hill Elementary, 25 families that attend Riverview Elementary,
25 families that attend Dutch Hill Elementary, 25 families that attend
Totem Falls Elementary and 10 families that attend Little Cedars
Elementary.

SEF also donated $5,000 for new books for the Snohomish School District’s Summer Book Café. Due to COVID-19, these books have not been distributed yet.  As soon as the State of Washington gives the safe, â€œOK,” these new books will make their way into the hands of K-12 students who need them.
