The Snohomish Education Foundation (SEF) recently awarded 170 classroom grants to Snohomish School District teachers and staff totaling $74,256 for 2020. The Foundation was able to fund, either in full or partially, 90 percent of the applications received. The classroom grants were personally delivered to many very surprised teachers in their classrooms and staff meetings throughout the District by SEF Board members, Snohomish School District Superintendent, Dr. Kent Kultgen, School Board member, Brandy Hekker, District Communications Director, Kristin Foley, and SEF Executive Director, Ken Hammond.

The grants will improve student learning in literacy, science, technology, engineering, and math. Since the program began in 1996, the Snohomish Education Foundation has funded over $899,000 to 1,730 teachers and staff in the Snohomish School District.
